Mill Finish Plate (Ext.) - GEP10
Surfaces: Starting with a standard mill plate, or bead blasted surface, finished to 40 to 100 micro-inch. There will be pockmarks and surface imperfections present (1/32" depth or less). Surface flaws and handling marks show. Welds are wire brushed, discoloration and weld splatter removed.

Buff Finish Plate (Ext.) - GEP20
Starting with a standard mill plate, or bead blasted surface, the entire surface is buffed to a uniform finish, 45-65Ra (Micro-inch). Some surface imperfection remain. All butt welds ground flush and smooth. All fillet welds ground smooth, not flush. All weld discoloration and weld splatter removed.

No. 4 Polish Sheet (Ext.) - GES40
No. 4 polish, not pit free. All fabrication and handling marks removed, 30-45Ra (micro-inch). Surface is buffed to a uniform satin finish. All fillet welds ground smooth not flush, all butt welds ground smooth and flush, with full penetration.

No. 4 Polish Plate (Ext.) - GEP50
No. 4 polish, pit-free. All fabrication and handling marks removed, 15-29Ra (micro-inch), Surface is buffed to a uniform satin finish. All fillet welds ground smooth not flush, all butt welds ground smooth and flush, with full penetration.

Other External Finishes

Glass Bead Finish (Ext.) - GEB20
Starting with a 2B standard cold rolled mill sheet finish. All vessel seam welds will be ground smooth and flush or rounded. After assembly and handling, the entire stainless steel outer surface will be wire brushed to achieve a uniform appearance only. No micro-inch rating.
