Drive Options
A motor drives Gemco Tumble Blenders and Dryers, rotating the
vessel through a guarded AGMA-rated gear and pinion arrangement.
An air-brake assembly for no-shock, soft-stop action is inter-connected
with the compact motor and reducer drive system.
An auxiliary
positioning system is available. The positioning system accurately
positions the unit discharge valve in a vertical "UP" and vertical
"DOWN" position, often used for automatic overhead loading-port
and lower discharge-port. The design is engineered to help eliminate
the need for platforms and personnel to load and unload the unit
manually. It saves both operating time and prevents spills, thereby
contributing doubly to productivity.
The positioning
system incorporates a secondary, or auxiliary gear-drive motor
to rotate the unit at 1/10 it's normal speed. Rotary positioning
cams mounted on an extended trunnion, limit switches, and appropriate
safety interlocks are all assembled, wired and tested.
